Review

The book has an relatable conflict, being whether or not you should change yourself to satisfy someone else. That's on of the reason I chose to read this book, I figured I would be able to get in to the story a little more if I understood even in the slightest, what she was trying to say. Although, as the story unfolded, I got more and more uninterested in it. It moved very slow throughout the whole book, there was really only one exciting chapter. I would not recommend this book to anyone who gets bored easily when there is not a lot of action going on. I would recommend this book to someone who is actually deciding whether or not they want to get the fold or not. Even though it isn't real, it shows the different scenarios that can happen before or after the surgery. The idea of the book is interesting because the fold procedure isn't usually talked about outside of an asian family and there hasn't been many stories about it before. I myself did not enjoy reading this book because there wasn't much content and it did not appeal to me, because I had no background knowledge about what the book was actually based around.
