Author An Na was born in Korea, grew up in San Diego, California and current lives in Vermont. She was formerly an english and history teacher and is now working on her fourth novel. Aside from writing The Fold, An has also written A Step From Heaven and Wait For Me. An Na's name is very important to her, because she had to alter it a lot when she came to America. Her parents changed it so that it would be easier for americans to pronounce it. An says thats partly where she got the idea of The Fold from, the fact that she changed her name for the convenience of others.
